A crisis or painful times of our lives can often be a call to personal growth, which our deeper nature wants us to work with to find a new pathway through life. Everyone experiences emotional problems at some stage in life and they can often be resolved without outside help. However, there are times when seeing someone with training and experience can be an invaluable option.

Integrative Psychosynthesis – The way that I work

With over ten years experience of working with both individuals and groups in a wide range of settings I have developed a flexible approach that is both down to earth and professional.

When you discuss the issues that are troubling you I will give attention to your feelings, thoughts, memories, dreams, fears, longings, body and soul. This perspective allows for your wholeness to be present including what you may feel is unacceptable. I would not usually give direction or advice but allow what you bring to guide us. I will respond to you as a unique individual, primarily through talking and the conversation that develops between us. Often, what can be most helpful is just out of consciousness and sometimes I may suggest working with images, dreams, paper and crayons, body or chair-work if it seems appropriate. The nature of counselling and therapy is an intimate one; bringing your inner world to a stranger, it is also a courageous one. The relationship that develops between us can also help us in our understanding and be a valuable part of the process. Through seeing and listening more closely we can build a bridge to what is unconscious, develop a deeper connection within and greater understanding; allowing for new choices and a more fulfilling life.

We would arrange to meet once a week or if it is more helpful then I would offer sessions more frequently. If you have further questions or concerns do contact me.

I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist, supervisor and a professional counsellor and member of BACP. I have worked with; the mental health charity MIND, the voluntary sector, GP surgeries, the NHS and in private practice.  I am on the training team at Re•Vision, Centre for Integrative Psychosynthesis.

Supervision

I work with counsellors and therapists both qualified and in training for supervision, either individually or in small groups. Contact me for further information.

My private practice is based in Kings Langley, close to Hemel Hempstead and Watford and there is free parking nearby. I also work from Re•Vision in Queens Park, NW6 which is on the Bakerloo Line.
