“When people observe the ways in which the soul is manifesting itself, they are enriched rather than impoverished. They receive back what is theirs.”
Thomas Moore

The difficulties we face hold messages that need to be listened to, acknowledged and understood before we can move on. It is not about pushing away the parts of ourselves that we don’t like or feel are too painful – more about integrating those parts and this can allow a deep healing to take place.

Although I draw on various approaches, I would describe my predominant style of working as psychodynamic. Our relationship will often mirror relationships in your day-to-day life as well as those of early childhood. This means that the way that we work together and relate will be an important aspect of the work. Amongst other approaches, I also like to work with dreams and the creative imagination. It is through these that the therapist and client can explore both the psychological and soul issues that are calling to be addressed.

I am a qualified counsellor and have been working in the field of personal development for several years. I am committed to maintaining my professional development and have on-going training. I receive independent supervision and support on a regular basis in order to maintain and enhance good practice.

My consulting room is close to the centre of St Albans and there is easy parking nearby.
